SUF Partners accompany Kunshan Delegation in Munich, Fuerth and Pegnitz

Startup Factory Partners Henry Wang, Dr. Christian Haug and Wolfgang Weiss accompanied the Kunshan delegation, lead by Kunshan city vice mayor Li Hui, during their stay in Munich and Fuerth. Highlight have been the joint Smart Factory Kunshan and German Industrial Park booth at the Asia Pacific Forum in Fuerth on Wednesday July 10th and the company visit to Startup Factory family member BEKA.

At the 2019 Asia Pacific Forum in Fuerth more than 400 participants shared their insight on many countries of the Asian Pacific region. Kunshan City with Smart Factory represented China besides Shenzhen on the exhibition floor. Introduced by Chinaforum Bayern managing director Stefan Geiger, Kunshan city vice mayor Li Hui, Kunshan director of investment promotion Zhang Jing and Zhangpu township mayor Gu Xiangmen met several Bavarian company managers of medium sized companies, and learnt from their view on Asia Pacific and China. The Asia-Pacific Forum of Bavaria is held by the Bavarian Foreign Trade Center and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Nuremberg and has already taken place for the 14th time.


The Kunshan delegation then went on together with Wolfgang Weiss and Henry Wang to Pegnitz visiting the international acting BAIER + KÖPPEL group, a leading manufacturer of automatic maintenance systems, producing in three production plants in Germany. BEKA offers customized solutions all around central lubrication and environmental technology. Company owner and CEO Bernhard Köppel together with the whole managing board welcomed the delegation and gave an factory tour. BEKA’s production has been so impressingto the delegation that they even prolongated the stay at BEKA unplanned throughout the whole afternoon.

Already on Tuesday July 9th, the Kunshan delegation also joined the Kunshan Investment Day in Munich, which was rounded off by a visit of one of Munich’s most famous beer gardens at Nockherberg. Following the Bavarian tradition vice mayor Li Hui tapped the beer barrel for guests from Bavarian companies. Startup Factory and Kunshan in particular thanks Andreas Leiner from current SUF client Dr. Schenk, and Thomas Moser from former SUF client Berger for their talks at the Kunshan Day!
