"Control is good, confidence is better - The difficult relationship between German parent companies and their subsidiaries in China"

As part of the evening event on May 3rd in Munich, the Bavarian Chinaforum, together with Bernd Reitmeier, André Hemmerle and David-Matthias Roebel, will discuss how German parent companies can make their subsidiaries in China more resilient to external difficulties without giving up control.

For many years, the branch managers of German companies in China have been complaining about the parent company's lack of understanding of the specific challenges of the Chinese market. "Trust is good, control is better" was often the motto when opening up new markets.

International trade barriers and the travel restrictions associated with Corona are now seriously questioning the internationalization model of the German economy - the parent company develops and produces, the subsidiary takes care of sales.
How can German parent companies make their branches in China more resilient to external difficulties without giving up control? What measures do you have to take in order to be able to react flexibly to market developments and the legal framework in China?

As part of our on-site event "Control is good, Confidence is better - the difficult relationship between German parent companies and their subsidiaries in China", Bernd Reitmeier, Managing Director of Startup Factory Kunshan, discusses which measures German companies must take to ensure the long-term success of their subsidiaries in China.

Registration for the event (subject to a fee, EUR 45/55) via the Chinaforum Bayern e.V. website.
