The Future of Business in China - Where Is the Journey Heading?

On May 9th we can finally meet again in person at the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Together with the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce, EAC International Consulting and Roedl & Partner China, we are organizing an afternoon on the challenges of managing subsidiaries and solutions in the current China business. Daniela Bartscher-Herold, Daniel Berger, Bernd Reitmeier, Thilo Ketterer and Sabine Dietlmeier create a comprehensive picture together with entrepreneurs such as Ralf Stoffels, BIW Isolierstoffe GmbH.

Over 5,000 German companies are active in China. The country is still one of the most important procurement and sales markets for many companies. However, the framework conditions have changed significantly. Corona and the associated travel restrictions create distance to the subsidiaries and business partners in China. Controlling and managing business activities from Germany has become increasingly difficult. Different compliance requirements, Chinese self-sufficiency efforts and (geo)political tensions are changing the business. Do the previous business models still fit? How can companies continue to be successful in China and the region in the future? Which markets in Asia offer potential? These and other questions are the focus of the event.
